Hello, my name is Antoinette Elion, I am a native of Chicago, Illinois. Nine months ago, I relocated to Fort Worth, Texas from Little Rock, Arkansas where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in English at Philander Smith College. I am a Graduate-Level Social Work Intern that is currently pursing my Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in Child Welfare at Aurora University. I have over 6 years of experience working with youth of all ages in a variety of settings including education, corrections, nonprofit and social services. I also work as a Family-Based Safety Service Caseworker for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. I have certificates in Trauma and Loss Reminders and Trauma and Development that I obtained from The National Child Traumatic Stress Network.

I am very charismatic with an expertise in active listening. My ideal counseling style is transparent and empathetic, and I like to approach each child and their family with an open-heart and sound mind. I believe that each client’s experience is distinct and should be valued and approached in the best way that accommodates them. Trauma-informed care is very important to me because it allows me to provide the most effective assessment, engagement, and treatment for the client. I am honored and look forward to working with your child!
