Hi, I’m Katelynn. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with a background that started on the other end of the 9-1-1 line. Since 2018, I’ve served as a dispatcher in multiple Texas communities, working closely with police, fire, and EMS. That experience—and my life at home as the spouse of a law-enforcement officer—shaped how I show up in the therapy room: practical, steady, and deeply respectful of the realities first responders, military members, and their families face.
Clinical Focus & Approach
I support first responders, veterans and service members, their partners and families, and anyone navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, or major life transitions. My style is collaborative and down-to-earth. We’ll set goals together, move at your pace, and build skills you can use between sessions—grounding and nervous-system regulation, sleep and shift-work routines, communication and boundary tools. I’m trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE) and integrate holistic, person-centered strategies so we treat the whole you—not just a symptom list.
Common themes in my work include cumulative stress, critical-incident aftereffects, moral injury, family strain, and the challenge of “turning it off” after a shift or deployment. When helpful, I welcome partners or family members to join for sessions focused on support and connection.
