Maria Strange
Masters Level Intern

Meet Maria Strange
Life doesn’t come with a roadmap, and sometimes even the strongest individuals, couples, and families need support navigating the unexpected. As a Master's Level Marriage and Family Therapy Intern at Liberty University, I am passionate about helping clients build stronger relationships, improve communication, and create meaningful change in their lives.
As a military spouse of more than 20 years and a mother, I understand firsthand the complexities of balancing family, relationships, career demands, transitions, and the unique challenges that come with military life. These experiences, combined with my clinical training, allow me to bring both empathy and practical insight into the therapy room.
My training includes family systems therapy, marital and relationship counseling, trauma-informed care, child development, and Gottman Method Level 1 training. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families who are seeking to strengthen their relationships, navigate conflict, heal from difficult experiences, or reconnect with their values and goals.
With a background in life coaching and a strong commitment to evidence-based practice, I take a collaborative and client-centered approach to therapy. I believe that every person has strengths worth building upon, and I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to move forward with confidence.
Whether you're facing relationship challenges, family stress, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I am honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward growth, healing, and lasting connection.
